Archer clutched his stomach. His bladder felt like it was about to burst. He had not been able to go to the restroom for an entire day. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain. He bit his lip as an attempt to suppress a scream, but it was too late.
“Ahh!” He cried out.
His mom came rushing in. “Honey, what's wrong? What happened? Are you ok?” She questioned, panicked.
“Mom, it---ah---it---AH! IT HURTS!”
“WHAT HURTS?” She asked, panicked.
“My bladder---OW! I haven't been able to go to the restroom---OH GOSH!”
“I'm going to take you to the hospital! Just hang on!" He was about to protest, but she was already getting her car keys.
The ride to the hospital was long and painful. Archer even blacked out a few times. However, despite his pain, he still didn't want to go to the hospital. Since he was young, he hated anything medical. So when his boyfriend, Cory, became a nurse, it was complicated. Archer would always refuse to get a physical. Archer's thoughts were interrupted when his mom said---or yelled, “We're here! Hurry! Get up!”
He looked up. There was the tall, white building that he hated. He shivered.
He already knew that it would be a very long day.
