Carl laid back as instructed. This time making the paper crinkle a lot more. His bare back and bare legs were now pressed against the paper that was covering the table. The cart that Nurse Meghan had brought in was now next to the table that Carl was lying on. She began to hook up all the chords with little suction cups at the end, to the machine. Carl realized this was the EKG that D. Zimmerman had informed him he was getting.

"These attach to your chest" said Meghan, while pointing at the suction cups "and these go on your legs". She stuck 6 chords all over Carl's chest and two on each leg. Megan then began to push some buttons on the machine. It beeped a few time and began to spit out paper. All the while Carl laid there is silence in his light blue underpants.

Meghan removed the paper from the machine and brought it over to the file that was now open on the counter near the sink. She then began to remove all 10 of the chords, and then wiped the spots on Carl's body where the chords were attached.

"We are done with this, let me go see if Dr. Zimmerman is ready to see you, sit tight Carl" said Nurse Meghan as she shut the privacy curtain and left the room.

Carl's head was racing. He saw his phone was still on the exam table next to him. He picked it up and was going to finally send a reply to his wife, when he was interrupted again by the door opening. The curtain opened and to his surprise Meghan came back in and went to the cabinet as she pulled out some white paper she looked at Carl and said "Dr. Zimmerman wants you completely undressed for your physical, please take off your underwear, socks, and jewelry... you can cover yourself with this" as she handed him a thin white sheet.

Carl had a visible look of fear on his face. Nurse Meghan just grinned ear to ear and said "I'll be right back with the doctor". And left the room. Shutting the door, but not closing the curtain.

Carl's heart was racing and his palms were sweaty. He wondered why on earth he needed to be naked. He also wondered why the young nurse was coming back. He once again, to his shame, got off the exam table and went over to the chair where the rest of his clothes already were. First he took off his ankle socks and stuck them into his sneakers. Then he undid his necklace and put on the pile of clothes, then took off his watch and put with the same pile. Finally, he took a deep breath, hooked his fingers around the waste band of his light blue, low rise, underwear and pulled them down, and let them slide all the way down to the floor.
