After the rigid tube was all the way in his ass, Dr. Johnson spent many more minutes moving it around. He could feel the base of it against his anus as well as Dr. Johnson’s glove on the back of his sack. Once she withdrew the scope, Robert was extremely relieved. He even heard (and felt) a pop! noise when the last of the scope slid out of his rectum. Dr. Johnson explained that she wasn’t sure what the polyps in his rectum were from, but cited that they may be due to stressful bowel movements, and told Robert he should look into taking one or two enemas a week. She handed him a packet of paperwork to look over. Robert then thanked the nurses and Dr. Johnson, and she told him that the receptionist could make him a follow-up appointment. A follow-up appointment!?! Robert certainly wasn’t looking forward to that.
