The walk back.

Sharon, Jason and David paid the bill and left the diner. Sharon took David's hand and sort of pulled him along rather than walking with him side by side. As they walked, she was mainly talking to Jason. David was quiet. Occasionally, she would say something to David and he would answer but it was an odd walk back to her house.

Once they arrived, Sharon left Jason and David in the living room while she went off to search for the books that she had promised Jason. Jason was talking about some college game that he had watched or something like that. David was distracted but pretending to listen. Jason finally took a seat on the couch. David stayed standing.

"So what else have you been doing?", Jason asked, trying to keep a conversation going.

"Oh, not much, had a big paper due on Friday. Glad to have it done. Next week is kind of a normal week," David replied.

"Great," Jason replied, "Are you spending the weekend here? Sharon said her roomies were out of town until Sunday."

"Yeah," David said, slightly embarrassed to admit to her brother that he was staying with Sharon. Although he wasn't sure why he was embarrassed. Jason had seen him nude in the living room just last Saturday and then Sharon had come downstairs wearing nothing too. Jason certainly knew that they were sleeping together. David thought that brothers were sort of protective of their sisters but Jason was the youngest brother so maybe it wasn't his deal. Or Jason didn't feel that Sharon needed his protection. Which was totally right, as far as David could tell. She could more than take care of herself.

Just then, David noticed that a used condom was lying on the end table next to the couch. The condom was half-hidden by the lamp. "Damn," thought David, "I hope that Jason didn't see that." Too late to move it now, though.

Then Sharon showed-up with one book. "I'm sorry. This is the one that I could find. Come back a little later and I will have the other one. I just need to remember where I left it. It is definitely here somewhere," Sharon said.

"No problem, sis," Jason replied, "Well, let me get out of your way. I'm sure you two have something to do." Jason said with a wink to David.

Sharon followed Jason out onto the front porch. "See you, bro. I'll call you when I find the other book. It is better than this one so you will definitely want it today," she said.

Jason replied, "Do you think you will have time today. I see that David and you have been busy."

"Oh, and what do you mean by that?," Sharon shot back.

"You might want to clean up a little next time you invite someone other. There is a little something by the lamp in there that David must have left lying around," Jason said with a broad grin.

"Get out of here! I'll call you as soon as I find the book. You can hustle over and get it," Sharon responded.

Jason gave another grin and then a wave and walked off. Sharon turned away and walked back inside.
