The two minute warning found the Wildcats well ahead of the Raiders and with no doubt of the outcome, Laurie and Brenda made their way out of the stadium and to Brenda,s car. "RECTAL - oh Brenda- you got the wrong one. Didn't you read which kind it was before you took it. Couldn't you ask someone to get an oral one for you. What are we supposed to do now." Laurie whined. The tea kettle whistled and Brenda poured the water into two cups with a tea bag in each. Laurie and Brenda sipped the tea and did feel better in warm pajamas and slippers. "You know, my mother took my temperature in my rear end until I was about 7. Then when I was 12 , I had my tonsils out and my nurses at the hospital took rectal temperatures on me while I was there the whole time." she explained and blushed at the memory. Brenda nodded and related her own experiences with the rectal thermometer.

"My mom always took mine and my three sisters temperatures via the rectal method. Age was not an issue and it was taken that way until I left for college this year. I am just used to the rectal thermometer and never had a temperature taken any other way." Brenda explained. "Wow -that's wild. "Laurie said . "So you mean we're going to take our temperatures rectally?" she asked

"Sure, you take mine and I'll take yours- it's much better if someone else does it for you." Brenda explained. They finished their tea and made their way to the bedroom. They pushed the twin beds together. Brenda lay down on her back. "Laurie, would you give me some nose drops?" "Sure" she replied and unscrewed the top and pulled out the dropper. "Tilt your head back for me." Laurie said and Brenda did. Laurie put a drop in each nostril and then rubbed some of the Vicks vapo rub on her neck for the congestion. Then she rolled over onto her stomach. "Now take my temperature." she said.

"Lift up for me" Laurie ordered. Brenda did and felt Laurie slide her fingers into her waistband and roll down Brenda's pajama bottoms and white panties. "I can't believe I actually doing this'' she said. "Come on- its easy Laurie." she said. Laurie shook down the thermometer and showed it to Brenda. She held it up to the light and noted a reading of 101.2. Laurie washed her hands in the bathroom with soap and hot water. She got 2 aspirin and a cup of water. She walked into the bedroom with them and had Brenda take the tablets. "Thanks." she said and took the aspirin and drank all the water. Then Brenda sat up on the bed and shook down the rectal thermometer.
