Treatment for Hysteria
In the early 1950s, Sylvia battles depression and her husband is having none of that. He takes her to a new doctor who specializes in treating Hysteria hoping he recommends a lobotomy. But the doctor has better treatment options in mind for Sylvia.
Note: I consider these writings historical fiction based on my own perceptions and learnings about of what life was like living in a middle class patriarchal society in the 1950s. I do not agree with many of the values of the past, but I wrote it this way as a personal fantasy. It is definitely not meant to be historically or medically accurate either.
I just use my imagination. So if you have any questions or want to comments on my writings, please comment on each part with your questions and I will answer them the best I can. I am no way a real writer or a pretentious literary person, so if you ask any super complex literary questions, I might not know how to answer them.
Sometimes parts of the story might change when I want to add more details, so consider this a work in progress. It might also make it more exciting to re-read.
