Well I'm still here , It's 6:11 am . I can hear the aid's that refill our drinking water as the ice cubes slush around when they are scooped up . The young guy also brought coffee . I still miss my own brew ,,,, so thick a spoon will almost stand upright ,,, bitter enough you need hot chocolate mix to be able to get it down and you chew it for two days and still taste it for another day .... Now that is what I call a cup of coffee .
I have been silent for a while as I was passing bladder stones . Even though they are not kidney stones , they are just as painful and the pain is more often . The stones are white , flat, and have very sharp edge's , They plug up a catheter , push around and past the balloon , then pass along the outside of the catheter cutting the penis from the inside , Just as you get used to screaming for help while in pain ,,, and as the staff go ,,, it's just him we can take our time ,, maybe it will be over if we time it right ,,, Then that is when you're bladder starts to spasms and you're body "thinks" the balloon in the bladder is in the colon and the spasms spread and you shit you're self .
I knew what was coming ,,, I turned on my call light ,,, Got myself into my wheelchair ,,, got to the restroom door ,,,,, Got stuck in the door way ... An hour passed . When the nurse showed up I had shit myself an was in extreme pain from passing the stones , my chair was wedged in the doorway and the foot of my bed . And the nurse sternly told me to calm down . That she would return when I was quieter . She left ..... I got myself up , using the foot of my bed ,, made my way around to left side before I fell to my knee's . I pulled the privacy curtain around behind me and got my dirty brief's off . And there I stayed . I had to call Norma and have her call the front desk !!!! until that nurse came back to check on me and finely understood that I was in real trouble , I need to be cleaned up . NEEDED A REAL PAIN KILLER . Lets not forget the head wound that put me here in the first place . I finally felt "up there" . About half way along the "groove" there is hole in my head . There is a 1/4 inch hole in my head ! . Where is the bone that belongs there ??!! . Is it stuck down in my brain ? Is it the reason I have period's where I can't talk ???
I have to take a brake from my ranting {bitching really}
The Very "young" young lady and very good looking as well who I think is related to Mrs. Hidie just brought me two cups of coffee and wants to take my vitals ... She tells me it is a little high ,, 170 over 80 . If she is here I just might get a bath as well . One can only hope .....

I'm so very sorry that I didn't tell you that I'd be gone up north for 3 weeks without wifi or cell. I's sure you felt like I had abandoned you and I feel bad about that. Please forgive me dear man.
I'm so glad to see that humour is still a part of your life. Loved your description of the coffee. It sounds like the coffee that I had to water down severely when I was up north.
Hopefully the new young lady will be around for quite a while.
@Rigel - I've seen the frequent visitor thing as well but certainly not to the extent as Nytwatch1 describes. Nursing homes are strictly scrutinized by the gov't up here. I'm not saying -some- stuff doesn't happen though.

@Rigel yes you are right , I have seen this with other's here .
but this place is a business , It only makes money if all the beds are full and if they don't have "extra" staff that need to be paid .
It's 5:30 of 4th and shift change , The nurses come threw changing diapers where needed emptying foley bags {they missed mine ,,, again,,,,}
But there is only one night nurse and three aid's to cover three wings , I'm not sure how many rooms per wing , 8? 10? again not sure how many ,,,
each room has two beds each , One room in each wing has three beds and each wing has a single bed room for "troubled" patients .
I had thought that I was seen as a problem patient . But have learned that being placed in a three bed room and closest to the door they ,,, The nurses in charge ,,, look to me to tell them who needs help . When the call light is turned on , it lights up at the nurses station and out side over the door . It's not until they come into the room and then see who's wall indicator is lit and with everyone's curtain pulled they first look to me to point out who is needing help .
Like this morning , The guy in the bed next to me , I could hear him choking and trying to call for help , I turned on my call light and when the aid came in simply told her that he was trying to call for help , after she attended to him she smiled and waved and was gone .
And yes I miss suppo as well . She always brightener's my day ,

My brother in law just visited and he was the primary contact for his parents while they were in a nursing home. He visited them almost every day and mentioned that those patients who had regular visitors got better treatment from the staff. Mention this to Matt and Norma - and anyone else - to drop by as often as possible.
The care you need versus what you get is appalling! Wish I were closer! I’d bet Suppo does as well.
