Elemental my dear watson!
A Me you didn't know
This is the first blog I posted on GLBTandproud.com. I like it enough to post it here.
To help you all get to know me, or rather a part of me, I've decided to post my very first blog on the site I hope to make my home base. That's right, im moving in,...hopefully.........quick note......Warning! Warning! Hot Ramen Noodles, though a tasty yet salty treat, are HOT. My tongue is playing the 'let's torment the crazy person' game.
Ok, now on to better subjects. I'm a free thinker. As one of my coworkers said about himself, I can say the same about myself. There is more than one layer to me. Most of my blogs are either gonna be philisophical....or random crazyness. I'm always considering things, like right now I'm considering the seasons. Each one has differences and yet each one has something in common. Their differences are what makes them similar and each season has an element.
Spring is earth, the tree's are growing buds and leaves, the flowers are poking out of the ground, animals are stirring. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. Spring is life. As I have said, I am of the air, the wind is my friend and during spring I am content just to stand around and smell the air. Snow melting, the scent of flowers....then there is the occasional bad smell that makes me run for cover...example...doggie dung...ew.
I associate spring with the death of my Granpa though. I took care of him for three years, starting at late 13. Doing the job of a C.N.A. Nursing is the profession I am aiming towards being in.
Emotions: Determination, loss and freedom.
Summer. Summer is Fire.
Heat waves that make you wish you could stay indoors, heavy rain and thunderstorms. This is the storm season and I love it. The smell of freshly cut grass, a cool breeze on a hot day. Dancing in the dead of night during a thunderstorm that's RAGING. This is when I stay out all night. Summer too has its animals and I cherish them.
I associate Summer with my little sister. We go on walks, swim, swing at the park and play volleyball.
Emotions: Carefree, childishness and mischievious.
Fall is Air. Fall is my absolute favorite season.
As everyone knows, Fall is the season of colors, promise and hope. This is when everything seems to die. SEEMS. but in their death is the promise of a new beginning. We watch the colors change on the trees and it is magnificent. This is when the wind is most strong and on it carries something so indescribable that i'm completely lost for words. It is hope, I suppose. Freedom, that anything can succeed, an absolute new start.
I associate Fall with my best friend, who I met last fall. He has shown me more compassion than anyone I ever met and I had only known him for a week at the time.
Emotions: Hope, restlessness, freedom.
Winter is Water.
I don't like winter as much as the others, but it is still a lovely season. To me, winter means a cage, no longer free to walk where I will without freezing like wet hair. But winter is peace. That first snowfall, waking to find a blanket of untouched snow on the ground....water water everywhere? Silence, Peacefull yet harsh, cold. But Winter also brings families closer together and to me is a family season. Winter is when some of the best ideas are thought of and makes some of the most warm firesides.
I associate winter with myself....cold, yet peaceful. I'm constantly thinking, sometimes to fast for my own head and rather silent when I do so.
Emotions: Peaceful, anxious, philisophical.
This has been one of my more serious blogs. Once you get to know me, you'll find I'm a huge gutterbrain for a virgin and I'm quick to laugh and crack jokes. You'll also find that I hold my friends dearly and highly. If you are one of them, you are truly loved.
A quote from Einymeiny's book of philosophy: It doesn't matter what you have done or will do in the future, what matters is what you do now and HOW you do it.
