Surgeon visit - 1/2 yr later

Today is 6 month visit, check up with the surgeon. Can't wait to see how the humorous ball looks. How round? How close to the shoulder socket is it? What can I expect from this shoulder in the future?

I feel I can do a lot of what I could before if it is shoulder height and below. Maybe not as hard and heavy...yet. But I am getting there slowly (don't want to damage myself).

Going above my head...not as good in some areas. But I have only just started doing the seasonal work so not sure of everything yet. My arm can be manipulated farther up, the muscles are just not working...yet. I am working on them -- stretching and increasing the weight to increase them. I will get more back. It just takes time.

I've been on a ladder again, a better placed and more stable ladder. I needed to get up on the roof and I'm more able than my sub. It felt good to do. I took my time and was very aware of what I was doing. It felt good to do the job, a more normal job for this time of year. I won't let a ladder beat me, break me it did, but it won't control what I do.

So time to get ready for a road trip to get an x ray and find out some more answers. Find out if I am finished with surgeon visits.
