Happiness
It is so hard to believe that fall is here. It was just the other day I was planting geraniums, begonias and my vegetable plants now it is time for pumpkins and fall decorations. On our mantle is a sign that says “We interrupt this marriage for football season” which was bought for me when I married into the family. Fall begins with the first Saturday in Sept when the first football is kicked and I am destined to be a football widow until the Super Bowl is played something I have long accepted. His family has 4 very expensive season tickets to which he joins his brother, sometimes father or cronies 3 or 4 times a year, he leaves on Friday, returns on Sunday quite often in a bit of the worse for wear. Boys will be boys.
As for me I will be tending bar every other Sunday until football season is over. Yes it is hectic, fast paced but something I really enjoy doing. They start arriving at 11 for our breakfast special and for the next 30 minutes I spend making Bloody Mary’s, no we do not use a mix as ourr are made from scratch And I don’t mind saying so I have gotten more that a few compliments. While the money can be good depending on the games being played, I really enjoy the people and that is what’s makes it for me.
Sometime ago I was given a solid black female Maine Coon cat that has now taken over the household to which she has been nicknamed by my husband “The Mayor”, yes she is entertaining. Well some weeks ago we came home and this other cat took a liking to us, a beautiful black tuxedo with white stomach and white feet. Well we have a problem with him and he has no intention of living indoors with us as he prefers the garage, so he has a bed, litter box, food and water. Each morning when I get up, I raise the garage door and he is off for the day to make his rounds. Always there of nights when I get home so I guess he is going to stay.
Since my husband burnt his eyeballs out this weekend on football, I decided he needed a bit of distraction this morning. He arrived to get his cup of coffee to find me sitting there only wearing his favorite little white long leg garment and while I realized he was playing golf today, he could not resist and was sent off to the golf course in a weakened condition. 😃😃 Plus I am fixing him baby back ribs for supper tonight. I think he is going to keep me around a bit longer.

You are both very lucky.I have been mourning all day about the queen. I have always been interested in the royals, and she has been in the news since I was a child. My friend Fran and I watched from the time they interrupted tv till 5pm when she left. I’m still watching. I’m glad you and your husband are happy. I was happy with my husband too till he passed 9 years ago. We were married 35 years. Lol may your luck continue, lol toshe

Tillie - your husband is a lucky guy, but handicapping him before playing golf could hurt his handicap!!! :)
