First real adult physical -- age 22

Completely true story.

I was a senior in college, 22 years old, when I needed a FAA physical to get my pilot's license. Theres a list of a few doctors who you can choose from, and my instructed recommended one doctor in particular. I called and made my appointment for later that week.

I arrived at his office just outside of town. After getting checked in, the nurse took me back to the room and did my vitals, did a detailed checked on my vision, and then I gave a urine sample (in private).

She told me, “Get undressed, you can leave your underwear on, and here's a gown.” I took a deep breath, still worried about getting an erection from my previous exams. At least this time, my dad isn't in the room, and who knows, maybe it will be a quick exam anyway.

I was stupid when putting on the gown and had it open in the front instead of the back. I sat there on the table in my boxers and gown, waiting. The doctor, male early 50s, came in and introduced himself, we exchanged small talk and he reviewed my medical history.

The exam started with the usual ears, throat, and neck stuff. Then he listened to my heart and lungs on the front. He then told me I had put the gown on backwards, and he said “we should just take it off” as he peeled it off my shoulders. He then listened to my lungs from the back, as I sat there just in my boxers.

He had me lie back on the table and listened and palpated my abdomen. He had me stand up and do some test of my joints. I was told to squat down, bend forward, side-to-side, etc.

He then said, "Okay, go ahead and drop your shorts so I can have a look at your testicles." He grabbed some gloves and a rolling stool and pulled it over in front of me. I dropped my boxers to my knees. “Have you ever felt any lumps in your testicles or had any problems down here?” I said no. He then reached out with both hands and grabbed my right testicle. He used one had to kinda stabilize the testicle, and the other to feel the surface as he was rolling it around. Overall, it was a pretty thorough palpation. I remember looking down, seeing my (thankfully) soft penis hanging off to the left as he had pulled my right testicle forward. Letting go of the right nut, he then nudged my dick to the other side as he moved on to my left testicle and repeated on that side. He then let go of my testicle, moved his left hand to my hip to stabilize me, while his right index finger invaginated my right inguinal canal. “Okay, go ahead and turn your head and cough.” I did, as I could feel the pressure of his finger up inside my scrotum and my penis bounce from the cough. He repeated the exam on the left side.

“Okay, good job. You can go ahead and get dressed.” He stayed in the exam room for a few minutes with small talk and telling me that it would take a couple minutes to get the paperwork done and then the nurse would bring back my forms. All while he's talking to me, I'm pulling up my boxers, and starting to get my jeans and shirt back on.
