Zebra

Hi loves and happy summer. We haven't hit 100 degrees yet but that's coming. We're well into the 90's and I've been enjoying the heat like a lizard on a rock. Here's an unposed snap hubby took of me soaking up the heat. As you can see, I'm totally a lady at all times (eye roll).

Lots been happening. I've been diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which isn't anything serious or new but an explanation of all the weirdness my body has had my entire life - the hyper-mobility, the GI issues, my BP weirdness, my scoliosis, and the joint pain I've had all my life. Good news is they did an Echo and I've no issues with aneurysms (which are a common symptom).

So what does that mean? Well really nothing other than a feeling of peace of mind for me that I can say “OH! So THAT'S why I…” Being able to put a label on it, put it in a box, is so very satisfying.

Oh and I've been walking around on a broken ankle for like the last 6 years.

Yeah I hurt myself working out a while ago - ankle rolled and I fell into a balance beam and broke 2 ribs. They thought I had sprained the ankle so just taped it/booted it. Foots been bothering me so I went to an Ortho and they took X-Rays and saw my ankle was basically dislocated. They did an MRI and I've an old avulsion fracture with 2 tendons ripped away. They were like, “didn't that hurt?” and I was like “Yeah but something always hurts so…” BTW I've l learned that EDS people refer to themselves as ‘Zebras’ (from the ‘if you hear hoofbeats it’s probably horses not zebras' - welp we're the exception so we're zebras not horses) so I'm a Zebra. British pronunciation please. LOL. Surgery is in a couple of weeks.

Sex wise we had a visit with Dr Smith. There was CNC (consensual non-consent) involved with 2 bad men and a home invasion. I'm sure I'll write the salacious details up at some point but I'm not feeling it today. Believe me, I enjoyed it very much, bruises and all, but I've just not been feeling like writing hard-core sex scenes lately. I've been enjoying writing the set up more than the pay off. Not sure why but there it is. We'll just say 2 masked men broke in, didn't find what they were looking for and took it out on the poor woman who was housesitting. I haven't done an intense CNC scene in a while and I actually got scared a little at one point and almost safe-worded. There was lots of after-care which was actually needed. I don't usually require much but this was pretty intense. I'm sure I'll do it again but not for a bit.

Hubby is great. ‘Jane’ is great. We're all great and all is well. Hope you are too. Kisses.
