With me being depressed over losing my cat, my husband has done everything in the world to keep my mind off of it and has he been a sweetie. Last Saturday we were supposed to play golf, passed on it, so we just worked in the yard and decided to go to Lowe’s for some fertilizer and grass seed. Leaving we decided to go get some street tacos, while I had heard this place was good, he told me ours were better. Hit the Apple store to see the latest and greatest, happy with my old phone thank you so we left empty handed.
Then we decided to go by hotel that had offered me a job as a bartender some weeks ago. Yes it is a first class bar, very well done and tasteful in all aspects and I am quite sure it is a moneymaker. It was fairly early, 4 people at the bar, few at tables and I could only guess it would be more crowded later. The bartender did leave a lot to be desired as she never said hi, but only what can I get you, he ordered a bourbon neat with a side glass of rocks while I settled for a beer. She did put down a napkin, served my beer with a glass but forgot his glass of ice. When we asked for it she was not pleasant at all and never did she say another word to us. If this is what they got when they interviewed me, good luck.
Sunday morning I got up early and decided to put on my little black thingy that I bought for Valentine’s day, granted it is a bit short as I imagine it was made for a woman under 5’4” and me being 5’10” it shows a bit more on the bottom than probably intended to. Anyway he did notice, even left it on me, later I fixed breakfast wearing it, I think he liked that.
Worked today at the bar, with it tournament time we had a decent crowd, not as much as the owner would have liked but it was picking up when I got off. My regulars reminded me next Thursday is St Paddy’s Day and asked me if would be wearing green like last year, I said yes. I think it was bright green tights last year they remember. Should be a good day, green beer, corned beef and cabbage and opening day of the NCAA basketball tournament.
Waiting tables tomorrow, should be a good day.
