Well just popped on here to say, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
I apologize for now being around more often but it is Holiday shit. And my normal Holiday depression that I deal with yearly. No worries, I'm told I am feeling much better now. My shopping is done, the food purchased, presents wrapped, cards sent, clothes purchased.
So today is my yearly trip to the Rolls Royce dealership on Rush Street. There is, or was, a black Dawn there last year and I am really jonesing to purchase it. Sleek and sexy and I look good in it. Who knows maybe this is the year I take the step and or leap for one. But can't stay to hidden driving one of those around.
Last week I made my trek to St Louis is see my audio surgeon and while there something sad happened. With all the dust up with the rise of the virus once again and people sick everywhere. So while there in the waiting room filling out the mound of paperwork. And I noticed that there was a woman sitting close to me that just couldn't focus. She was very petite, okay skinny, but looked tired and confused. So I spoke to her and she just couldn't fill out the paperwork. So I took it and asked her the questions and she answered as best she could and then she was called back to the office…she thanked me and disappeared.
After my appointment, which went fine if anyone cares (lol). Out in the hall outside the offices, Yes Barnes Jewish/ Washington School of Medicine is rather massive, I found, let's call her Missy, waiting for me. She thanked me again for the assistance and we spoke for a bit. I found out that she was actually younger than she looked. Her medical condition was hard on her but she was younger than I am. Not by much. She was pretty in her own way but still a bit dazed. She is from west central Illinois and I offered to take her to lunch so we could chat more. The Spaghetti Factory on Leclede's Landing, very good, is a lovely and tasteful place. So we spent three hours chatting and eating. It was actually a nice time. I asked her how she was getting home. She told me by bus. Well that wasn't happening on my watch and it was only a three hour detour. But when driving a Corvette on a sunny day and clear evening. So we took the out of the way drive. She asked me if I was married and I had to laugh, and told her no and that I preferred dating women.
That led to another long question and answer session. I gave her my phone number and told her to call me anytime.
Well enough about Missy.
Everyone have a grand holiday and be good to each other.
