Summertime

And the living is easy, the fish are a jumping and the cotton is high.

Just to hard to believe that summer is passing so fast. With the cool spring and all the rain my flowers came in so full and beautiful it was hard to believe. And yes I did end up nude, well with my farmer brown hat and lipstick, in front of a camera. Did I expect anything less?? My garden on the other hand has not done as well as I hoped but it should turn out to be decent. Tomatoes are late coming in but when they do should be plenty.

We kept the grandchildren for a week, they arrived with their little suitcases and backpacks, big smiles and hoping for a good time, and after all is over I really think it was a great week for everyone. We started off at the zoo, yes they loved the reptile house, and just had a wonderful day. As was typical for a little boy they best part was the jungle blitz, an ice cream treat.

Then we was off to an amusement park and water park to which we checked into a motel for 3 nights. It was not a name amusement park, family owned, nice selection of rides where the kids would not stand in line forever but still be able to enjoy themselves. My granddaughter got to ride the rollercoasters with the both of us while the little one was content with his selection of rides.

The following day we hit the water park, lazy river, splash mountain, the big dump and everything designed to get one wet. Yes I looked like a drowned rat. My main goal was to get everyone thru the day and not end up blistered at the end of the day. Nobody ended up burnt though I chased them down all day with sunscreen. Thanks mom.

They both said it was the best times they ever had, so I guess we showed them a good time. Asked them what they liked the best?? My granddaughter said the roller coaster, grandson said the cheese pizza.
