One of the things that I did when I fell over my garden tiller was break one of my ribs on my right side. No there is nothing they can do, just learn to live with it, don’t cough or sneeze very loud nor plan sleeping on that side for a few weeks. Tending bar turned out to a bit more than I could take so another girl came in early so I could go home. Yes it hurt.
The next day we headed out to see the kids for Easter, just so nice to get away. We got to their house and no sooner had we walked thru the door, my 3 year old grandson charged into my lap and those were not tears of joy, just reminded him no bodyslams for grandma. Saturday I got to see my granddaughter play her first soccer game. At first she was very intimidated by the bigger kids but by the 4th quarter she had found her confidence, even took a shot on the goal, missed by a mile but have to start somewhere. Spent the rest of Easter weekend with a hunt and supper at Cracker Barrel. And yes we did enjoy our two nights at the Courtyard, just not quite as frisk as we normally are. He told me I was a tough ole buzzard, don’t know whether I should take that as an insult or a compliment.
Happy to say the ribs are better and have to say one good thing did come out of this as normally we sleep back to back, him on his left side, me on my right. Well I had to sleep on my left side curled up against his back and that cute ass. Might not ever roll over again.
