The holidays are over for another year. Yesterday we took down the tree and packed away all the decorations. To say that the holidays were a huge bummer this year would be an understatement. We have been really good at social distancing which meant that the holidays were just the four of us unless we happened to be doing a Zoom with friends and family. Zoom is better than nothing, but it just isn't the same.
In past posts I've told how my husband adores football and that I will watch it with him frequently. There is also the point of what constitutes too frequently? New Years Day I think I reached my limit. We had been watching the games on New Years Eve, but then there were many more yet to go. Being the good wife I made all sorts of snacks, put on a pot of chili, and made certain that there was plenty of cold beer. So enough already. It was somewhere in the middle of what seemed my 10th game, but I cannot be sure when my fun meter was beginning to show on empty. My husband was riveted to the TV and the two kids were off playing some game, I'm not sure what it was but they seemed to be getting along which is all that mattered.
I could say that opportunity knocked, but having probably eaten too much for a couple of days and bored with TV my mind drifted and it seemed like the perfect reason to take an enema. After retreating to the bathroom with the bag I was excited with anticipation as I filled it with two quarts of warm water and two tsp. of baking soda. After attaching the hose a couple of big towels got spread on the floor and the bag was hung from the towel rod. Lying on my back I put my feet up on the closed lid of the toilet, inserted the nozzle and enjoyed myself as I filled ever so slowly. It was like being in heaven. The moments were entirely mine and I really didn't want them to end.
Afterwards I felt great and it might have been my imagination but my jeans seemed to fit better, too. When I returned to the family room, my husband looked up and asked what I had been doing. My reply was that I had been busy cleaning some things out. He grunted an approval and returned his focus to the game. That's when I fell asleep and took a nice nap.
