My Real name is Hollie. I grew up in a small town in Rhode Island as the youngest of nine. I was not your typical girly girl who sat and played baby dolls and Barbies or wore skirts and dresses. Nope I was the Tomboy who liked to play football and get muddy with the boys. I have been a daredevil since really little. I Graduated High School on a warm sunny day In June of 2001. I decided since I always got a big adrenaline rush seeing fire trucks and rescue that was a job for me. I decided at the age of 17 I would apply for Fire Academy. I graduated fire academy September 10,2001. I was getting ready to head home to see my parents on the horrible day of September 11th. Being so young and right out of academy I was scared. As I was talking to my parents the first plane hit the World Trade Centers. I was like okay a freak accident then the second one hit I knew we were under attack. I knew it was my call of duty help. I put on my brand new turn out gear and had to put on my fear aside and help those brothers and sisters of the departments that responded.
Flames is a nickname I was given by my Captain. It stands for who I am One Who never gives up and always on the move like a Flame of a fire.
