Meanwhile back at the Ranch

Saturday and I over slept which is not a good thing for me , my system after many years is setup for 6 hours and not a minute more . Makes me sick and pretty much wastes the day. So for now we are parked on the couch doing some more rounds on Grand Turismo 5 . I am not a huge gamer at my age but like playing some of the games I have . Dogs are sleeping will give them a huge walk shortly which I need as well. So let's dive into some more back ground info shall we ? As I grew up and found a few things I liked and got turned up by them , it more or less shaped what I like and what works for me now I am in my 40ties . I can remember sneaking into my sister's room because she had the stereo which had a microphone so there were times when no one else was home that I would go into her room plug thr mic in and use a pair of headphones and listen to my own heartbeat which fascinated me at times . At some point got a stethoscope and did the same thing but because of my hearing issues , the mic and stereo worked better , especially which the older full speaker headphones I had. Them came the library books , anatomy, exercise , and few others that put visual stimulation into the equation. The Body Principle by Victoria Principal was a main stay for a few years. I always though she was hot in the early years. Then found a few exercise books that happen to show the early chest strap and ear clip electrodes in the pictures and that interested me quite a bit for awhile where at one point I bought a ear clip monitor from Radio Shack which worked nice till the cord broke . Right around 1994 had a huge work related accident that did some damage to me and was out for about 4 months . During rehab for my knee , I was told to get a bike , which I did and ride it every where , about that time the chest strap monitors became popular and I bought one for riding and for turn on purposes and loved it . Seeing the changes during personal time increased the pleasure . Uniform catalogs showing women in scrubs and clogs triggered many fantasies. So as a single guy with not much responsibility and a few bucks to spend decided it was time to start a collection of toys you could say , first was a small collection of cheap stethoscopes and 2 BP cuffs , one manual and one automatic . Then the big idea happened , how much is an EKG machine , hmmm where could aone get one without rousing susbition, hmmmm, back then Amazon was not up or known, Ebay was though and the things you could search for and find were at that time mind blowing . So come bonus time from work , had a few extra dollars and found a surplus HP unit which had both EKG and Defib sides , somehow won the bid at under 100 bucks and bought it . Once it arrived found it didn't work , being the tinkerer that I am , took it apart and fixed it . Found a few sites on Ebay selling electrodes and Leads , bought some supplies and was in heaven . Also at that time bought a few pairs of clogs as well , most were in sizes of some of girls I was dating at the time but they didn't get it so that never went anywhere , which was funny because that was about the time that clogs came back in style and many girls were wearing the old swedish style and dansko style . So anytime I am out and about I am always scanning for the shoes , it's a bad habit but at least I can do it without getting myself in trouble. The Mrs actually has 2 pairs herself and does wear them at times . Getting back to the EKG thing , before any of you scream about owning a defibrillator, the unit I have , does not work unless you have it plugged in and I for one will have have it plugged in, I have removed the battery pack from both units for safety. . So one day around tax season , got stupid and was cruising through Ebay again and found a brand new still in the box HP unit the same make and model I had , I put in a bid not thinking I would win , and got it. Was a fun day trying to explain to the wife why I needed another machine , besides the one I had , fun day to say the least. But now have 2 and I enjoy using them went the opportunity presents itself . I also have 2 cloth exam gowns in my small collection .
