Today was DAY 1 of training runs. Started the day with a 3.6 liter warm baking soda enema with a DBC early in the AM.
Temperature was 90°F during the run. Dew point was 67°F. Distance run was 4.83 miles at 11:40 mile. Was run as an interval run. Best pace = 6:56/min. Average HR = 142 BPM, Max HR = 160 BPM. Average running power 285 watts. Calorie expenditure = 692 calories.
VO2 max is estimated by Garmin at 41 ml/kg/min. Fitness age estimate is 41 and in the top 15% of my age and gender. Not a bad way to start at age 66. Strava fitness value is 27. For comparison, my all-time highest value was 78 on 7/28/16 and my typical "marathon ready" value is somewhere in the 60's, usually close to a value of 70 (I have a long way to go). This value drops very quickly if the training load drops dramatically.
Resting HR = 53 bpm (Garmin), BP = 115/67.
