Some people had color TV in '63 but we had a “big” 21 inch B&W with an antenna on the chimney. We got two channels but one was a little snowy. When a plane went over , the picture would roll. At least once a year. You had to remove all of the tubes, yes tubes, no transistors were harmed in making this TV. You could take the tubes to any drug store where they had a “tube tester” and replace any that were weak or dead. Take them home and plug them back in and the show was back on. Try that today.
