I am building a prototype, so please let me document here what I am doing, then if it works, you may want to make one of your own. I have the experience of one good gyno table under my belt, so I know I can do some cool stuff. I miss that old or age table.
I bought a piece of 3/4" plywood already cut to 2 feet by 4 feet from Lowe's for about $12.
I then marked off each corner per the dimensions shown.
The 1.5" dimension is usually how far I like to stretch the vinyl covering fabric over the back of the plywood, before I staple it in place.
1" gas pipe floor flanges will be screwed in place in the circled areas using #10 x 3/4" countersink headed screws. These markings would be typical of all (4) corners and half way back on each side (like the way the pool tables look).
I will use (6) pipe flanges for (6) legs. You can can use bigger flanges and bigger legs if you want (the finished height of the table will be 32")
