Many times, we in the crossdressing community get lonely, because we don't get much fellowship. Since maybe we can't (or don't want to) hang around bars that are LGBTQ friendly, we may decide to go to churches and go to fellowship meetings of churches that are LGBTQ friendly.
It can feel very liberating for a crossdresser to go to a church in a dress and reasonable looking high heels (4" max in my opinion.)
I even went out to eat later on (in man clothes with one of the vanilla church ladies. We then took a walk in the beautiful antique shop downtown and sat in the park and talked.
This post is about fellowship, not religion, so let's not talk about or debatr religion and doctrine.
If you want to find a LGBTQ friendly place to hang out on a a Sunday morning (and sometimes during certain evenings), you can type in "open and accepting church [plus some town name]" into a Google search window and you may get one or more results. If not, look under a different town name in the search.
P.S.: Let's not debate what restroom to go into (Personally, since I don't pass as a female and I don't won't to shock the heck out of someone, I stick to using the man's restroom, because the men that go to these kinds of churches are always tolerable). If I used the women's restroom in such a church, I would be pushing my luck! (There's nothing to see in there anyways). If I had a sex change (which isn't my desire) I would use the women's restroom.
Since, I go to a gym, if I don't decide to shave my legs, I will wear black opaque hose or tights with my dress instead. Which is a shame, because I like to show a little bit of my legs at church. The people there love my legs. They don't attract vanilla women at the gym though. Lol
