I had to take a break from my running schedule and training. Part of it was mental burnout, part of it was a change in job responsibilities (I'm back in a supervisory role again). But the biggest part was a nagging injury to my right foot that (at times) was so painful that it was difficult to walk or stand. That makes it difficult to run if you can't stand or walk. So, after a break over the past five months, I return to running and getting this body of mine back into Boston Marathon shape (good luck to my friends running next week).
I went running for the first time in quite a while. A simple 5K distance with some hills (there are almost always hills here). Though I wasn't as fast as I was when I was at my peak for marathon running, I was surprised that at how fast I could run.
I've been able to enjoy my enemas without concern around my running schedule. But now its time to take off those pounds I put on while not running.
