How I Chose My Profile Name
When I think back on my childhood (and I'm now a Senior Citizen) some of the most vivid memories relate to enemas. My Mom is front and center. I am 3 or 4 years old and she has an enema bag in her hand. Alot. But then, so does my Grandmother. They took an enema every day (or so it seemed). I can smell the huge amounts of soap and all the sounds associated with taking enemas. (Click.....Click. Waiting a couple of seconds. Then gushes of water and turds are intermittently hitting the water. Click......Click. More water and turds gush out but now it starts to smell bad.) All of this is quite interesting to me. I watch in curiosity while playing on the floor. Mom also moans real loud and grunts while she is expelling her enema. After no more comes out, she flushes the toilet and gets up to refill the bag again.
I asked Mom why she did that and she said "I can't go to the bathroom without taking enemas." When she is finally done, the bag stays hanging on a nail in the wall in our old bathroom. She strikes a match and lets it burn for a few seconds and we leave the bathroom. Later in the day, she talks on the phone and tells someone that she had to give herself an enema. In some instances, I'm sure it was told to several people. I somehow realized in my little mind, AN ENEMA IS A BIG DEAL.
Mom didn't just use this treatment on herself - she also used it on ME quite often. (Thus, the profile name "MOM'S EGIRL".) And that began a whole new foundation that would last my entire life! I'll tell you a little bit about how that foundation formed next time.

Fascinating. Were enemas for you... purely for health? Were they punishment? Was there ritual to them or they were more just... utilitarian hygiene? Were they done privately? At what age did they stop.... / lots of questions here....

My grandmothers were both users of the enema bag. I received my share from them. They were always loving and comforting and for some reason, my enemas were the topic of conversation over coffee and Sara Lee. I trusted them both and believed they always had my health in mind when they gave them to me. I, like others here, believe my love of enemas began early in life. I have no regrets and I am grateful to my grandmothers for instilling in me such a wonderful part of my sexuality which I might not have experienced if not for them.

I never experienced my mother giving herself enemas, although I am sure she did. However I will always remember they were frequent until I approached puberty, then they abruptly stopped.
I also now realize my father had no idea what was going on. My mother would occasionally talk to my grandmother about enemas, and I soon came to realize she was a proponent, and it is likely mom got quite a few growing up.
But my mother's coconspirator was Janet's mother, and whenever enemas were given there was a conversation, usually on the phone, and if there was a reason to give one of us an enema, well that was reason we both should get one. Janet and I were coconspirators, too, we learned the cues that would result in an enema and used them as often as we could.
The most exciting times, back in the day, was when we would go to Janet's house and be given enemas together, with absolutely no modesty.
Sadly we moved away, but looking back, had it kept up, Janet and I would have become very early sexual partners, because, in fact, some might consider we already were. We just hadn't put together what goes where and why. We were totally focus on our rectums.

Hi "E-Girl!!,"
Funny you should mention that!! Although I wasn't given enemas that often ..only when I was seriously plugged up or when I was sick with the flu or the like... ENEMAS were still a major part of my young life along with everyone else I knew!!

My two sisters and me got our share of enemas. Sometimes I think that the family bag was out drying more days than it was stored in the linen closet.

Mom's E girl. It was pretty much the same for me.
Mom and her mom were into enemas big time and I got real belly swellers often as a kid.
When did you discover you liked them ?
Obviously they were very important to your mother and grandma, so it's only natural that they would become important to you

Thanks so much for this blog entry. So many of us here have similar recollections, yet all with very personalized memories that are somehow imbedded in our psyches. There was a time in my life when such memories worried and upset me - now, I treasure that part of my childhood and all the nuances of the enema experience with my mom. Thanks again. Slowhand1947

For many of us "Seniors", those experiences as youngsters, and then the discovery of our own reactions to certain stimulations, formed a basis for our lifelong interests in this rather simple procedure. May you always find enjoyment from your indulgences and reap the benefits. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us!
