Over the 4th of July holiday I did some traveling with a small group of friends that do not partake nor know of my indulgences with the dying art of the enema. I was also sharing a room with one of my fellow bike riders so I dared not bring my bag and nozzle along. Why bring possible ridicule or derision into a friendship if it can be avoid? To me, the risk of finding a like minded person is outweighed by the probable lack of understanding.
With that premise set, I don't eat on the road the same way I do at home. My diet tends to include more fast or quick serve food and less fiber when traveling. That in turn, leads to less bowel movements and some of the time I miss a day. I basically have the opposite of travelers diarrhea.
When we returned home and I was finally in my own space, I felt a strong need to dig out my equipment and purge the accumulated sludge. I wanted to but didn't. Instead, I used a bulb to relieve the worst of the bloated feeling, opting instead to hold off until my regular weekend routine.
That was a long three days. As I type, I am now between bags of at least a two bag flush and I remember why I enjoy enemas so much. The insertion of the balloon nozzle, the inflation, the feel of warm water filling my colon.
Anyone have a disrupted schedule due to holidays? How do you cope with it and what is your solution?
