52 Enemas a Year
I am happy to say that I've been able to enjoy enemas again.
The idiopathic constipation is still an issue. Daily doses of PEG are what is required to produce a bowel movement every day. It took several months of experimenting early last year to reestablish regular enema sessions. I found that an enema once a week empties the colon and mitigates the "not-completely-emptying" sensations and controls the cumulative partial bowel movements that occur otherwise.
After trying various times of day for the enema, I settled on early mid-morning, typically about a hour to an hour and a half after my morning BM. This permits wifey to sleep in and for a few chores to be taken care of in the interim. Wifey provides abdominal massage during the enema. I get to relax and enjoy the enema process. The results, as they say, are good.
The volume of water in my enemas remained as before, three quarts. However the enema solution composition and temperature have been revised - one is never too old to learn new techniques. The water temperature is now hotter, 105F, versus the 102F I'd been using for decades. After experimenting, I settled on two tablespoons of baking soda and a half tablespoon of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap. That amount of baking soda buffers the enema sufficiently to make it easy to take, yet does not make the solution isotonic, which causes multiple evacuations afterwards.
The equipment used is about the same except for frequency. Last year I was rotating three enema bags, one per month. This year I added back in my red Klystra Classic open top bag. Three four quart bags, red, black and silicone, and one three quart green combination bag. I like how the green bag delivers the enema, but it is a pain to clean and dry. What is new is the more frequent use of my old red Bard FR30 colon tube. I use it for my enemas every other week, alternating it with a FR30 Foley tube. If wifey isn't available for a massage I will sometimes use the black custom-made nozzle.
Another innovation is how I control the flow. Thirty seconds of flow on and one minute of flow off until the enema bag is empty. This permits ample time for the enema solution to disperse. The massaging takes care of any incipient cramping.
I start off on my left side. After amply lubricating my anus with Maximus lube, I insert a few inches of the tube and open the clamp to begin the flow. As the initial solution begins to flow into my rectum I push the tube in. The entering water helps the insertion. After 30 seconds I shut off the flow and continue to insert the tube until it is fully inside me. After decades of use, it is fairly ease to insert the thirty inch long colon tube without undue effort. Insertion accomplished, I turn onto my back if wifey is massaging me, or onto my stomach if I am going solo.
Enemas still result in me feeling uplifted and energized and never fail to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. If I am taking the enema by myself I try to masturbate once the enema bag is empty. I would have thought that using the custom nozzle, which nestles nicely along my prostate, would help in achieving an orgasm. But that is no longer the case for whatever reason. Now, when I am able to achieve an orgasm while holding an enema, it has been with the colon tube fully inserted. Still prone, I stimulate the base of the penis with my middle three fingers while my thumbs press on my balls. The resulting enema-induced orgasm is still just as intense as ever despite the fact that my penis is not erect.
