Stents
Well, that was surprising. I went from asymptomatic to having two stents put in over the course of two weeks. Weather added fours days to that, too. The physical I had in January, including blood work, revealed nothing.
One day during a morning walk I ran short of breath and had some nasty chest pains. Had to sit for five minutes to catch my breath. Pains came at odd times and even did not manifest for thirty-six hours between onset and getting a doctor appointment.
It has been a week now since the procedure. Chest feels fine. It's the groin entry point that continues to bother. Pains and massive Hematomas. Per the more useless than helpful web searches, it is either normal or the artery is leaking. I see the cardiologist in a few days.
I've yet to research it, but the drug I was prescribed to thin or slippery up my blood must be incredibly expensive. I was given some samples plus a card for a free trial. The card had to be activated. I called last Sunday and reached a live person. So far I've called back twice, once to confirm that I found a pharmacy to fill the Rx and again to see how I was fairing taking it.
