Dr. Miller says “The pelvic and rectovaginal exams were normal. The nurse will help you sit up now.” The nurse says “You can lift your legs up out of the knee supports and I will help you slide back and sit up.”

Rachel takes the nurse’s hand as she lifts her legs out of the evil leg spreaders, the nurse helps Rachel slide back enough to be able to sit up without falling off the exam table. A digital rectal exam fully assesses the rectum, it allows me to check for any masses, hemorrhoids or other issues. And even if you turned 40 today, I would still need to perform the exam.”
