Like Dr. Miller, Dr. Taylor is also admiring his own patient. As he has a seat on the rolling stool and rolls up between Sarah’s wide open, outstretched legs, he takes a few seconds to appreciate the beautiful sight before him. She then feels his finger pressing up and he says “Cough hard.” Rachel complies and he says “Again.” She coughs hard one more time, knowing that everyone outside her cubicle can hear her. The doctor says “Excellent, no sign of incontinence. Now I will insert my finger fully to check the position of your cervix for the speculum insertion.” Rachel, getting more humiliated by the second, feels his finger probing her vagina deeply, and feels his finger touch her cervix. He slowly withdraws his finger and says to the nurse “medium Pedersen please.” Rachel hears plastic tearing and unwrapping, she then sees the nurse by the Mayo stand lightly lubricating the bills of the speculum. She hands it to the doctor, he says “Now for the speculum exam and Pap test, you will feel me touching you now, you may feel some pressure as I insert the speculum.”

Rachel feels first his fingers parting her labia, then cool hard plastic touch the entrance to her vagina. She then feels him push the evil duck bills into her, the pressure building inside of her as they push in deeper and deeper. She feels him rotate the blades to horizontal and he says “Now I’m going to open the speculum, you may feel more pressure or mild cramping. Try and relax as best as you can.” Rachel feels the blades being opened, she feels and hears each click of the speculum as it opens wider and wider, the pressure building more with each loud click. Her glossy suntan nylon covered thighs tense and her chiseled calves flex as the pressure becomes increasingly uncomfortable. She is opened up four clicks in total. She has had many pelvic exams over the years, she is used to how a speculum feels, but it never feels any less torturous. The pressure is very uncomfortable.

As Rachel endures the speculum exam and Pap test, she hears Sarah’s doctor narrating her external exam. Rachel is sure that Sarah hates this as much as she does. She hears Sarah’s doctor tell her to cough hard two times. Sarah coughs hard twice. Rachel knows that Dr. Taylor’s finger is buried deep inside Sarah’s vagina at this very moment.

Rachel feels the doctor taking the Pap samples, she flinches as the cytobrush penetrates her cervical os and rotates, she feels a pinch and a small cramp from the invasion. Rachel feels a slight scraping sensation, but at least no cramp, from the second swab of her cervix. The third sample, she feels nothing. Just as Rachel couldn’t take the feeling of pressure from the wide open speculum any longer, the doctor says “Okay, I will be closing and removing the speculum, you did well staying relaxed.” She feels the blades partially close as the doctor slowly withdraws the evil bills, the pressure finally gone.

Rachel is relieved that this part is over, she has always hated the speculum exam the most, but she knows there is more humiliation to come. She knows that the people outside the cubicle have heard plenty so far, and she knows that they will be hearing plenty more of her exam. The doctor rolls back, stands up, then removes the glove from his left hand. He switches off and removes the headlamp from his head, and says “Okay Mrs. Morgan, now for the internal bimanual vaginal exam.” He lubes up his index and middle fingers of his right hand, steps back between her wide open, glossy, stocking clad outstretched legs and says “You will feel me touching you now.”
