I sat down in the big purple chair. Scaling and root planing, plus the doctor found four cavities and said he had to fix them. I hated having cavities fixed. The doctor said for the special cleaning I didn’t need any sleepy juice. He got out the tickle tray and said this is our shiver stick, it gets all the cavity bugs out so we don’t have to get out the grumble brush on them later! It’s lots of water, like a swimming pool! But it wasn’t. The shiver stick went through my. Bones and down my spine into my feet. Ok! Time for mr scrapey rake before those four grumpy teeth meet mr grumble brush! I only could see the light and two figures with tools above me. The scrapey rake took forever. In. Out. In. Out. It took two hours for the whole mouth. And before I could catch a breath, the doctor got out the grumble brush. Here comes Mr grumble brush! Cavity bugs don’t like him! Then the nurse put a mask over my mouth and nose. I reached up but suddenly my arms got heavy. I felt like I couldn’t move but I was still aware. Sometimes Mr grumble doesn’t feel very good when he’s fighting with those mean old cavities. It’s just pressure! And the drill whined to life.
