This short story has some elements that have been true in my life. Of course, the bulk of it is made up as a work of fiction designed to be readable by my general audience which is all of you who enjoy the way I write about the subjects that I enjoy. As the story begins in its initial impression, I need to first stipulate that I am a good judge of character, no matter what the circumstances are. Yet, I do so very well understand the sentiment, “There but for the Grace of God go I.”
