Bill and Dr. S: The beginning
Now, it's hands on!
Bill is seated on the side of the table, facing the sink. Dr. S. turns, and takes a step toward him, and that familiar feeling of anxiety and heightened anticipation suddenly appear, as he wonders, once again, what he's gotten himself into.
He senses his arm reach out, taking the otoscope from the wall, and checking his right ear, then the left. Any issues, besides not hearing the wife? he asks, smiling.
No, Doc, none, as he watches scopes being switched,
The seemingly impossibly bright light on the scope is in is eyes, briefly, as the doc indicates everything looks normal.
Two amazingly soft hands begin massaging his neck, then move on to the shoulders. Remember biology?
Yes sir, some....
I'm checking lymph system. They swell in infections.
The hands move, and he hears, okay, open wide...
He feels the familiar feel of the tongue blade, pressing down, and then it's out, being snapped and the doc makes three! Have any sinus issues, Bill? His hands are going for the steth, as he watches, waits, for the response.
No sir, just the normal sniffles,
Well, it's not really inflamed, just looking a bit angry. But, if that's normal for you, he smiles, and places the steth over his left breast.
Bill gulps, as the steth moves, across, lower, while he struggles to breathe normally, realizing that each movement is closer to the main part of his exam, the male...
The doc actually steps behind him, to do the lungs. In, hold,...out.. That's good. After the fourth listen, the steth moves, not to return.
Bill is waiting, and Dr, S. appears, ok, Bill, lie back, hands under your head. A shelf appears from the foot of the table, where he places his legs, looking up at the ceiling,
wondering what was about to happen.
