I was 19 and a very busy college student. I was an overachiever who was taking more classes than average and then I had sports and a very busy social life. Definitely didn't have time to spare to go to the doctor.

I'm 5'4" or 1.63m with a very fit but curvy body and an hour glass shape. I had just broken up with my first boyfriend and decided to focus on myself for some time.

It was midterms and the stress of all the heavy course load plus sports was too much and I I injured my lower back. As usual, at the worse possible time. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't sit straight. "I guess I need to go see the doctor" I thought to myself. Unsure how the appointment with Dr V would be now that I was no longer dating his son. The breakup was friendly at least. And he might not need to see me naked.

I woke up on Tuesday and the pain was getting worse so I decided to call and make an appointment. Luckily the doctor could see me that same day.

Dr V's office was very familiar and all I could think about was the time I was examined by him and got the mean antibiotics injections. "This is probably different. It's just my back. I just need something stronger for the pain. He won't examine me" I kept telling myself over and over as I sat in the waiting room. The wait felt eternal.

"Andy - please come on in" it was Nurse C. The same beautiful brunette that had given me the horrible antibiotic shots. I wondered if she knew I was no longer dating the doctor's son.8

"How are you doing today, Andy?" She said with a smile.

"I'm in a lot of pain" I said

"Well I'm glad you're here. I'm sure Dr. V will help you and you'll be good as new in no time". Her demeanor was warm and friendly. Did she think I was still dating Alan? Was she remembering my reactions to the antibiotics injections? What if she had to give me more shots today?

She took me to the room and took my vitals. She then instructed me to sit on the table and wait for the doctor. There was no gown so that was already much better.

After a few minutes I hear a knock on the door.

"Andy!! It's good to see you!"

"Thank you Doctor"

"Nurse C tells me you're in pain. Can you show me where?"

I pointed to my lower back.

"I'm going to touch you on different spots. Tell me where it hurts'

He started palpating and moving lower.

"Oww yes that hurts. All that area"

He finished the exam

"Ok Andy. Your muscles are all spasmed. I'm going to prescribe a series of a very strong intra muscular muscle relaxant and you will be good as new. Nurse C will give you the first one here and then you'll have to get 6 more. I'm also going to have nurse C give you something for the pain today so you can start feeling better. Do you have any questions?"

"More injections? Will it hurt?"

"No Andy these are not too painful. Don't worry. It's not like the antibiotics" he said with a smile. I wondered what else he was thinking and what he remembered from the last time I was there.

"Andy, I'm assuming you have someone to give you the rest of the shots on campus? I really want you to finish the series so that your muscles can fully heal. And no sports for 2 weeks"

"I guess I'll just go to the health center" I said.

"Ok perfect! That sounds like a plan. Feel better!"

As the doctor was heading out he turned around "Oh and Andy? No hard feelings I know the breakup was friendly and I'm happy to see you here. Please make your appointment for your annual exam and come back " he said with a friendly smile.

I nodded "thank you Doctor V"
