A few last wishes

Part 67

Gina gently strokes her cellphone screen, "Hi baby, did you heat up the rib dinner I made for you last night? Was it yummy? I just miss you, no special reason for the call. Well, I am working here so it would be pretty boring for you if you came over, I do love seeing you though."

Katie decides to sit next to Gary since Laura and Hank are in the room with Julia, "Who is that British woman who is with, Eric?"

"Uhhhh, Ughhh. I hired a private nurse with physical therapy and hospice experience. I thought she was really pretty and Eric would like her."

"Gary, she sounds enormously expensive. How can we afford her?"

"Ughhh ummm, I can't. I won't be able to paint women for the next year and I will need to go into debt. But, I say FUCK IT. Eric needs someone sweet and British right now." Katie rests her head on his shoulder and sneaks a warm kiss on his cheek.

Gina's boyfriend Christian runs up to the nurse triage area out of breath, "Babe, I came as fast as I could. Did you change your mind about the having a baby talk?"

"Oh my God, Christian, did you drive 90 miles to get here. You are drenched from sweating!"

"Gina, Baby, I got a promotion and all this money will be rolling in. We need to get married and start a family already. You have been working here 5 years and hate your job. Let me put a baby in that gorgeous tight body."

Gina blushes, "Why can't you say sexy things like that without the baby as a condition to it? I don't hate my job, I hate my bosses like everybody does. I love this job and I love and want you. Isn't that a wonderful amazing life by itself?"

"Gina I am pushing 40. I am the only one at work without a wife or a child. I have this hot smoking woman who is barely even mine. Half the guys at work thought you were a high end escort when I took you to that company party three years ago."

Gina scoffs, "Well, your coworkers are absolute pigs. Why do you even care? I am certain all their wives and baby mamas hate them anyway. I am here and I love you. You have never asked me to get married. Are you waiting for me to propose?

Christian jerks his head to the side on disgust, "No, gross. Why do you even say masculine things like that? Look, if you agree to try to have a baby I will propose right here in this hospital this very second."

"Christian, look me in the eyes. I am who you would be marrying. I have never been off birth control since I was 17. What would happen if I couldn't get pregnant or changed my mind and didn't want to try? Would you call off the engagement?.... Christian????"

"Gina, why do you always pull this drama card shit? You are gonna be 30 next year. You should be acting like a crazy baby hungry bitch who is grateful for finding a successful man who is a catch and instead you are acting like some teenage brat who needs constant validation. Grow, the fuck up!"
