This past summer I attended my 45th high school class reunion. There were probably 8-10 classmates that I had stayed in touch with over the years, but I got a real surprise when I was having a drink at the bar with Rita, an old friend, when she said ‘look at who is coming this way’. I turned around and was shocked to see Leslie walking towards us. She and I had dated our freshman and sophomore years before breaking up our junior year. We said hi and we gave each other the customary ‘hello hug’. Rita said, I’ll leave you two to catch up. Les and I hadn’t seen each other since graduation. She looked pretty much the same; a little heavier (from child birth I found out later) and her blonde hair had a little gray in it. I got her a drink and we went to a table to ‘catch up’ on the many years since high school.
