Series Introduction

This story is the first in a series ( Dr. Taylor Stories ) set near the fictional college of Three Hills College. It is a sort of spin off from the Back Home series in that they are linked by the common character of William (Bill) Miller, who was in Back Home: Jenny Gets Pneumonia. Hopefully I have the dates lined up correctly as this should be a couple of years before that story.

The stories are mostly set in the late 1960s to early 1970s. This was a time when there were only glass and mercury thermometers and rectal temperatures were much more common than today. (Of course the stories take this to an extreme.)

While complete fiction, some of this draws from my experiences in childhood. It does, however, have a lot more rectal temperatures.

I don’t have this one as planned out, but there will be at least one other story about some “Three Hills College" students who find themselves patients of Dr. Taylor due to unexpected circumstances.
