18 year old Josh recently graduated high school and is headed to college in the fall. His college requires a physical exam to start classes. Since Josh is now 18 he must find an adult doctor to see. He called his local medical group to make an appointment at the family medicine group. He got an appointment within a week and had the medical emailed from the school to his doctors office. So he was unsure what the exam would consist of. His pediatric exams were cursory and he hasn’t even had those since he was 13.

The office didn’t tell him who he was seeing, only to go to a certain suite number.

When the day of his exam arrived he was dressed normally in a pair of jeans and a t shirt. He arrived at the clinic and went to his assigned suite. The receptionist checked him in and asked him to have a seat and fill out some general paperwork.

Once finished he turned in the paperwork and had a seat waiting to be called back. After a short while a young nurse came and called his name. She introduced herself as Alicia, and took him to get weighed. She took a forehead temp and had josh follow him to an exam room closing the door behind her.

She got his blood pressure and heart rate. Said both were normal. Alicia was young maybe 22, 23 josh thought. With shoulder length brunettes hair. She was kinda cute josh thought.

Alicia recorded the information on the computer. Then she stated “looks like you are here for a physical exam, we got the form from your college.”

Josh responded “yes”

“Great!” Said Alicia. She then went into a cupboard and grabbed a pair of paper exam shorts. She stated “ please undress completely and put these on. It just makes it easier to hear your heart.”

Josh took the shorts and Alicia gathered her things and stated with a smile “ Kelly will be right in for your exam.” She then left the room.

Josh was in shock Kelly he thought, a female? Ughhh hopefully this exam won’t be too exposing. Josh has never been exposed to a female before in any regard. He quickly undressed put on the shorts, and sat nervously on the exam table waiting for the doctor. But he couldn’t get the thought of a female doctor from his mind. In the past he only had the male doctor reach into his pants. He reassured himself it can’t be too bad it’s only for college.

He sat there for awhile looking around the room. It was fairly nondescript. A cabinet and countertop, a rolling stool, and two chairs. Then the exam couch. Josh looked at the paper shorts he was wearing. They didn’t cover much but it was better than being naked he thought. Then there was a knock on the door.

Josh looked up at the door as Kelly walked in. She was about 5’3 thin, and blonde with shoulder length hair. She was young late 20s clearly fresh out of med school.

She greeted josh saying “ hi I’m Kelly I’m the physician assistant who will be conducting your exam, how are you?”

Josh nervously responded. “ I’m okay good to meet you.”

Kelly sat on the stool, and looked at her laptop. She stated “weight and bp look good. Where are you going to college?”

“State university”

“Okay great”

“ I see your exam form I’m just gonna Quick Look over the requirements”

Kelly read the form over for a few seconds and josh sat in silence.

“Okay, let’s get started shall we?”

Josh nodded nervously.

Kelly checked Josh’s eyes ears and throat, felt his thyroid and looked in his nose. She then grabbed her stethoscope and listened to his heart and lungs. She remarked “ heart is beating a little fast”

Josh shrugged. “Nervous?” Josh replied “maybe”

“Nothing to worry about it’s a basic exam.” Said Kelly. She then asked Josh to lay back, and listened to his stomach with her stethoscope. Josh noticed her beauty which made him more nervous.

She put her stethoscope around her neck and felt his stomach with hr hands. As she got lower down his abdomen the more nervous josh felt. He was worried she would check his genitals. Despite placing her fingers just under the waistband of his shorts she went no further down she stepped back and asked Josh to please stand up. A sense of relief over came him. Josh hopped off the table and was instructed to face away and touch his toes. Kelly felt his spine, from his neck to waist.

Kelly then stated “please face me”

Josh straightened up and faced Kelly who was reaching for gloves. Putting them on she sat on the stool. She then said “next I need to do a genital exam” Josh felt his heart drop. “Please stand with your feet shoulder length apart, and remove your shorts.”

Josh hesitated for a second but then resigned himself to his fate he removed his shorts leaving them on the floor and spread his legs slightly to shoulder length. Josh couldn’t believe he was nude in front of a women!

Kelly roped close to him then felt both of his testicles, after both were checked she placed two fingers on one side of his scrotum and asked him to turn his head and cough. Josh coughed. She moved to the other side and asked him to cough again, which he did. Kelly then removed her gloves stating you can put your shorts back on.

Josh did as Kelly filled out the form on her computer telling him he was healthy and all set to get dressed and check out, return in a year for another physical.

Josh hurriedly dressed and left with a red face.

Once home he got an email, that his medical chart was updated he looked into the electronic chart and saw physician notes. He opened it to see what the doctor had wrote about his exam. When he got to genital-urinary, it stated “tanner stage 5, both testes palpated, no masses, no hernia on either side.”

Josh’s couldn’t believe what he’d just been through!
