It wasn’t that my gf was bashful or embarrassed about being seen, it was just that it was unexpected and sudden. She didn’t know exactly what to expect, she’d heard some of her friends discuss their experiences but she didn’t pay much attention.

The biggest difference is that with this exam compared to all her future ones, all the basics had already been completed and all that was left was the breast and pelvic exam, that the doctor got right down to doing.

The doctor had her sit up and explained about the breast exam and my gf not knowing any better pulled the gown down exposing both breasts fully. She was light skinned with pale areolas, picture the type of breast where it’s hard to spot the line between areola and pale skin.

The doc laughed and said something to the effect of “well aren’t you the show off” while approaching the head of the table to the side. The doc covered one side of her and proceeded to examine the uncovered side. She finished, draped the gown over and went to the other side. All the time during this exam she’s discussing the importance of self exams, etc. She finished, covered her up and then said “alright time for everyone’s favorite part, scoot on down for me”. My gf recalled scooting down and having the doctor guide her heels into the stirrups, the doc pushing the sheet up to expose her bottom and having to ask 2 or 3 more times. Finally the doc said “scoot all the way until you feel the back of my hand”.

Ask for the pelvic exam she told me it was the longest lasting and least comfortable exam she’s ever had compared to all her ones with an actual gyno. The doc made a lot of small talk with both her and mom during the whole procedure. She thought once the speculum portion was done that she would be done entirely. Once the doc removed it, my gf started to scoot back up ready to be done and leave. The doc said “one second missy, just another minute and I’ll be done”. She scooted back down, with the drape still by her waist exposing her lips and pubic hair. The doctor then performed the bimanual exam pushing it up even further. The entire time she said she was just staring at the ceiling waiting for it to get done but once it was and she sat up, she realized how much her mom could have seen throughout the exam. She never looked over to see her but her mom would have had to at least seen a bit of exposure simply by chit chatting with the doc.

Once the doc was done my gf sat up and made sure she was covered as the nurse and doc picked up and got her chart filled out. They left and she quickly got dressed with her mom saying “we should thank her for fitting you in last minute.”
