As I prefaced this is a true story as best as I can recall. I’m doing my best to be as detailed as possible but feel free to comment or ask any specifics I may have left out.

The summer before my then gf and myself started college she had to get caught up on shots and a basic physical before entering as a freshman. Her parents were always over the top in preparation for every aspect of her life and this was no different.

A random hot and humid day in August she knew of the exam coming up and didn’t think much about it, just another box to check off before moving into the dorms. The appointment was set by her mother with the same family doctor she’d seen for at least 10 years. From what she told me, her mom always accompanied her to the exams to make sure questions were answered properly and vaccinations were kept up with. There was never much exposure during those exams with the exception of a very brief breast exam and a few below the waistline palpitations, but she was never fully undressed or exposed during them. She didn’t expect this one to be any different and in fact planned on asking for a referral/recommendation for a GYN closer to campus.

Her mother drove her to the appointment and checked her in at the front desk as she read whatever outdated magazine was in the waiting room. It was one of if not the last appointment of the day so they may have been the only ones waiting. She didn’t have to wait long before her name was called by a nurse and as she went back, her mom followed just like she always had, making sure everything was in order and insurance was proper. The nurse led her to the weighing station and got height and weight, fully clothed, and marked on the sheet.

The nurse then led them to the closest exam room and closed the door behind them. She sat next to her mom in the seats of the exam room, not yet taking her place on the exam table. The nurse took blood pressure (always a little high due to white coat syndrome) and temperature orally. She asked if she had any concerns and her mom spoke up, “nope just the usual”. The nurse nodded and instructed my gf to hop on the table and that the doctor would be in shortly. She hopped up, fully clothed and made small talk with her mom until the doctor knocked at the door.

The doctor, a matronly woman in her early 60s came in and greeted them like old friends and got right down to business. She began the exam with standard stething and breathing all while asking about how the summer was and college plans. The doc had her lay down and began palpating. This time, my gf tells me, she felt like the doctor went further down her waistline than any previous exam to the point that her landing strip of pubic hair was at least a little exposed and definitely felt.

After this the doc had her sit up and remain on the table, asking if there were any further questions or concerns. Her mom spoke up about her having a serious boyfriend and asked if she had a recommendation for anyone close to campus. The doc asked my gf, “are you sexually active” which she sheepishly answered “well, not all the way, but getting on the pill is on my to do list”. My gf thought just bringing it up would be enough to get a prescription but the doctor paused and then said “well you are the last patient of the day and your insurance does cover a complete well woman exam. That’s necessary for me to prescribe birth control, how about we go ahead and knock it out?”

My gf wasn’t really the type to speak up especially to disagree but her mom piped up and said “may as well while we’re here!” The doc shook her head in approval and rummaged through some cabinets finding a gown and sheet. She placed them on my gf’s lap and said, “change into these, I’ll be right back”. The doc left and there was a brief pause between my gf and her mom. Her mom said “this works perfectly, then you won’t have to stress to find one on campus.” My gf hesitantly agreed and hopped down to undress.

I remember her telling me she was very shy about undressing and tried to cover up as she went along until her mom spoke up and said “I’ve seen you naked plenty of times don’t be bashful, hand me what you’re taking off and I’ll pile it over here”

My gf gave in, stripping down topless and putting the gown on then removing her sandals, then shorts and panties before hopping up on the table and putting the gown against her waist and thighs.

She sat waiting only for a few minutes before a knock at the door. It was supposed to be the doctor but it was a nurse bringing in a tray of instruments and getting a side table set up. “I see you’re ready, I’ll let the doctor know.” The nurse left the room and a few minutes later another knock and both the nurse and doctor walked into the exam room.
