I loved the drive to Mommy Sue’s house in the countryside. Her small farm was about 80 miles South-West of Kansas City near the small town of Ottawa. Surrounded by huge wheat farms, it was a very private place. It needed to be. A steady flow of special visitors kept Mommy Sue with enough money so she did not have to farm. Most residents of Ottawa who knew her, though she was retired.

At last I came to the turnoff on Route 59. A long lane of trees lined the 2 mile long driveway leading up to the beautiful large wooden house on top of a small hill. My insides stirred as I thought of the next 4 days staying here. As I got closer I could see Mommy Sue standing in the play area next to her house. She waved as I got closer.

I parked the car under the huge tree at the back next to the barn, and got out and walked to the playground area. I opened the gate using the childproof lock. I could see Mary, her daughter, aged 18, sitting on the swing. She was dressed in just a cloth nappy and white t-shirt. I’m sure just on my behalf.

“Hello Mommy Sue” I said and gave her a light kiss on her cheek. She smiled and gave me a soft pat on the front of my pants.

“Nice drive? I see you don’t have a nappy on yet?”

“No” I said. “There wasn’t time to get dressed after landing and getting the hire car.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get you all nice and suitably dressed soon. Let me just get all the kids in. It’s almost suppertime”

She called Bobby and Clair, who popped their heads out of the treehouse.

“Is Uncle Peter here already?” they asked together. Excitement in the air as they anticipated my arrival. When they saw me they shrieked with joy and came bounding down the wooden ladder from the treehouse.

Both were dressed like their older sister Mary in cloth nappies. Bobby had a light blue t-shirt on with the words “Bedwetter” on it. His nappy was folded in the Chinese fold style. Clair had a white t-shirt on and a white plastic pants with frills on the rear.

They ran over and I crouched to give them a big hug.

“Mommy said you were coming for a few days” babbled Clair with excitement.

“Yes, I’ll be staying for a few days. I’ve brought you all some surprises from my last business trip to China, but you will have to wait until we have finished supper”

“Ah Uncle Peter, we can’t wait so long!” chirped Clair. Bobby nodding his head in agreement.

Mary got off the swing and had joined us. She looked radiant in her white attire. She had started to become a woman now and her small perky breasts were showing under her white t-shirt. Her body had also started to change and become nice and shapely. Mommy Sue saw me staring at Mary and took me by the arm and led me to the house, giving me a warm smile.

“Mary is beautiful” I said softly to her.

”She is a woman now and not a little girl.” I continued.

“They grow up so fast” Mommy Sue continued. “Mary doesn’t normally dress up in nappies now days, but when I said you were coming to visit she had no problems in getting her baby clothes out and ready with the other’s clothing in the nursery.

“She even got all your clothes ready”

“Ah the nursery” I thought.. “A place where I felt the safest place in the whole wide world”

We walked the rest of the way to the house in silence as I thought of everything.
