Top Modelling Agency--Instruction for Your Upcoming Exam at Well Women Clinic
Chapter one--Preparation and Day One
Congratulations on your acceptance into the young talent program at Top Modelling Agency! Before formally joining the program, you will need to complete a comprehensive medical screening, otherwise known as Well Women Exam, including a head-to-toe exam by a general practitioner, as well as gynecology, urology, mammalogy, cardiology through a series of tests at our partner clinic, Well Women Clinic, to ensure that you are fit and healthy for the intensive training in the future. The following three-day instruction will provide you with details on what to expect and inform you that certain exams will be invasive in nature. Rest assured, all exams are safe and do not have any long-term effects on your body.
Preparation
On the day before the exam, we would expect you to restrain from eating anything heavy, such as fast food or any ingredients that contain excessive grease. Please shave your armpits, arms, legs, and in particular your pubic area as best as you can, since certain exam items will expect you to expose these areas. If you are in your period, please inform us as soon as possible.
To prepare for your stay at our patient wards, you will only need to pack a small bag with your personal hygienic products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and etc.. We strongly recommend you leave any valuable belongings at home. You do not need to pack any of your personal clothes, including your underwear, as hospital gowns, flip-flops, and underwear will be provided. Two sets of matching white panties and sports bras will be provided to accommodate your daily changing needs. Please also bring a pair of sneakers as well for your exam on the second day.
On the First Day
On your first day of your exam, please report to the clinic reception at 7:00 am. Please make sure you drink around 500mL of water, and restrain from eating any breakfast.. Then your responsible nurse will take you to the preparation room, where you will be given a patient wristband that contains your information. Please do not take them off during your stay. The nurse will take your history. Please disclose any relevant information, including medications, previous injuries, vaccinations, development-related questions, such as age of first period, breasts development, and age of first sexual intercourse. Please also disclose the history of previous pregnancies, if you have had before.
In the preparation room, you will be instructed to take off all of your clothes and jewelry, and store them in the locker assigned to you. Next, the nurse will check your arms, legs, armpits, and your pubic areas for any excessive hairs. If you fail to pass, you will be given a small razor and a bottle of shaving gel before shower. You will then proceed to the bathrooms inside the preparation room, where you will give a urine sample under the supervision of the nurse. You will then be taken to the shower room, where you will have 15-minute to take a shower. After shower, the nurse will take a blood sample of around 60mL. The nurse will inspect you one more time before you put on the underwear and gown.
Measurements
Following the initial preparation, you will be taken to exam room 1, where doctors will check your vision, hearing, throat, and nostrils for any abnormalities. Blood pressure will be measured as well, and some blood samples will be drawn. Then, you will be instructed to take off your gown and underwear for measurements, including
Height
Weight
Circumference of your neck
Both Arms
Shoulder-to-Shoulder Length
Chest expansion, including inflated and deflated lungs
Breasts, including the size of your nipples and areolas, the distance from one nipple to another, and the weight of your breasts, which the medical team will clap two small specially-made scales simultaneously.
Upper body length, from the bottom of the neck to upper-edge of your genitalia
Lower body length, from the upper-edge of genitalia to both feet
Waist
Hip
Length of each leg
Size of outer labia
Depth of vagina, which you will be asked to insert a special measuring device as far as you can
General Head-to-toe Exam
After the measuring part is done, you will be instructed to get dressed and led to an exam room, where you will meet your general practitioner, who will conduct a comprehensive head-to-toe exam. Please undress as per instruction from your general practitioner. Following exams are included;
General inspection of your skull and scalp
General otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) inspection
Blood Pressure
Thyroid Gland
The exam will continue to your chest and abdominal area
Palpation of each breast, areola, nipples, and axillary nods (you will also be asked to perform a breast self-exam, which the doctor will observe and guide you on what to do)
Palpation, percussion, and auscultation of the whole chest, including respiratory and cardiac system
Palpation, percussion, and auscultation of the abdomen
Palpation of gorin area, checking for hernia
The exam will continue to orthopedic study
You will be asked to perform a range of poses in order for the medical team to evaluate your musculoskeletal motions
Visual inspection of joints and muscles in arms and legs
Palpation of joints, muscles, and pelvis
Inspection of feet
Gynecology
Gynecological health is an important part of your Well Women Exam. At the Well Women Clinic, we will ensure your reproductive health and the health of others at workplaces. You will be asked to expose your lower body, lay down on the gynecology chair, and place your legs on the stirrups
Visual inspection of vaginal region
Speculum exam: A speculum is inserted into the vagina to visualize the cervix and vaginal walls.
Pap smear: a speculum will be inserted into your vaginal canal and a sample will be taken by gently scrubbing your vaginal wall, which will be used to screen for cervical cancer
Bimanual exam: The doctor will insert gloved fingers into the vagina and uterus to assess their size, shape, and consistency; The doctor will possibly consider a rectovaginal exam if abnormalities are discovered. The doctor will insert additional fingers into your rectum, checking pelvic organs more thoroughly
Rectum exam: the medical team will assist you to get off the gynecology chair, and you will be asked to lay face down on the exam table. Much like the bimanual exam, this exam is used to detect hemorrhoids, pelvic masses or abnormalities. The doctor will insert gloved fingers into your rectum to detect any lumps, masses, or tenderness.
After the gynecology portion of your exam is concluded, the nurse will take you to the patient ward, where you will spend the night. On your bed, you will see a bag. Inside, you will find the necessary items listed in the preparation you need for the night and the reminder of your examination. You will be provided an early, light dinner. After dinner, the doctor will come and discuss some of the results today and briefly explain what your second and third days will look like.
These specialist exams usually contain, but are not limited to:
General Radiology, including a chest and abdominal x-ray, as well as a CT scan
Cardiology, including electrocardiogram (ECG) and cardiac and arterial ultrasound, will be conducted both under rest and stress conditions.
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (optional, pending recommendation)
Urology, including an urodynamic test and a cystoscopy
Full body Ultrasound, excluding cardiac ultrasound
Vaginoscopy (optional)
Colonoscopy
Anoscopy, or proctoscopy (optional, depending on specialist recommendation)
Dermatology, including a full-body allergy test
Mammalogy, including a HALO breast pump exam and a ductoscopy
Sports medicine
