Lily hums wedding songs to herself as the phone rings. "Hello, Lily, everything ok?"

"Angela, thank God you picked up everything is going to hell over here. We all miss you and need your help, especially Leo!" Angela's breathing becomes rapid as if she is in the beginning stages of an anxiety attack, "Annie is subjecting him to grueling tests and Leo nearly broke down in tears and confessed everything to me."

Angela continues panicking as Lily unleashes an emotional storm on her, "What did he confess? What's going on, Lily?"

"I know you have told Mary you don't believe he is in love with you, but that boy is a hot mess without you being here. He told me how he felt safe years ago when he came into hospital after getting beaten up, even when you wouldn't speak to him or visit. He said you being here was enough."

Angela's voice begins to crack, "He actually said that?"

Lily decides to quickly reel her in knowing she has her friend on an emotional hook, "He told me he didn't even want to be a part of this stupid, weird study. He is just too much of a child to have the surgery anywhere else because you won't be there."

Angela begins whimpering and blubbering uncontrollably, "That's not fair at all, Lily! He is not a child for wanting to be around someone familiar who cares about him. How can you even say that?"

Lily smiles devilishly as her fingers stroke the back of her cellphone, "Well, I almost didn't call you because I felt he didn't deserve you being here. He shouldn't be such a baby and expect you to be here for him simply because you happen to work here. When a man needs attention he should atleast reciprocate and show some appreciation for being cared for."

Angela drops her cellphone as she rushes out to our car, "Oh stop it, Lily, just stop it! He is a shy sweet boy and sharing emotions is really difficult for anybody. I am on my way, delay Annie from testing him anymore until I get there." Lily triumphantly wiggles her head back and forth."

Katie is having her own phone drama. She called Angela three times and it was busy and now she is calling and it is going straight to voicemail. Katie paces back and forth fearing for the worst. All the girls discuss personal matters with eachother, why would Angela tell her boss to discuss a matter without the other girls knowing. It had to be about Leo, it just had to be. Angela is finally going to have it out with her and tell her what a bitch she really thinks she is and is sabatoging her chance to be happy. Katie couldn't even rehearse in her head a coherent defense for why she deserves Leo and not Angela. It's just that she is addicted to the boy, he was always there when she was growing up. Katie is legitimately scared, what if she loses all her work friends over her crazy impulses?
