## Vaginal Exam

Dr. Baker took the Collins speculum and showed Lily, who was still bleeding a bit from the earlier rupture of her hymen with the dual-bladed speculum. He explained that this speculum would let him:

* check her cervix

* stretch her urethrea

* introduce a few probes into her cervix

* get a complete interieor view

Dr. Baker motioned for the asisstants to come closer, and asked one to hold Lily's hand. He adjusted Lily's legs a little, trying to ensure that she'd be fully opened. He then told Lily he would begin to insert the speculum. This one was simply more than she could acomodate. While the earlier device was used to break her hymen, this one was being used to open her as much as possible.

Lily was in tears before the speculum was halfway in, let alone open. Some fresh blood leaked from her, which Dr. Baker cleaned from her bottom. He showed the blood to Lily and let her know it was from the insertion. He then put one hand on her thigh, and with the other, began to turn the screw on the speculum.

Slowly, Lily's untouched body opened to him -- Dr. Baker's favoirite part of any examination. "Ok lily, just another 2 inches here". And Dr. Baker continued to expand the device, causing a stretching, burning pain like nothing that Lily had experienced. She was beyond tears now, just panting.

Ok Lily, now, you get used to the speculum, it will be there for about 20 minutes. The firs thing we will do is examine your urethra with this probe. It will hurt.

Dr. Baker took a thick, metal probe and introduced it into Lily's urethra. And began to wiggle it a little.
