For Lora_C, A Remarkable Woman and Friend
Boot Scootin' Boogie Meets A Flock of Seagulls
TIME MAKES YOU REALIZE THAT SOMETIMES THE BEST YOU CAN HOPE FOR IS TO GET USED TO IT
I had planned on making a post honoring @Lora_C's passing and I have a few rough drafts that I had been writing. The thing is, some of them were just too sentimental and sappy, even for me, about that fantastic woman who was my closest friend. However, a not-so-tall ninja blew into town and I had to give up one of my pencils that I was using to write about Lora.
@Cedar ... ❤️ ... SSAF ... she ... @Lora_C ... was so worth it. ❤️
@gibby has been proofing and reviewing my posts and we both realized that Lora was far more than a friend to us. For me, it began over 30 years ago when we started working together. For the first couple of years, she was a voice on the radio and a force to be reckoned with if you didn't pick up the first time. It was before DD was born, so Lora's authoritative assertiveness and no-nonsense demeanor was because she had to deal with @Dahiana. That would come later. I was for sure that DD wouldn't stand a chance, but I sorely underestimated dotter critters and their relationship with their moms. Any guy here, husband, boyfriend, dad, knows that when dotter critters and mom critters have a "dust up" that it's time to go check on that fence in the south forty.
We had been friends for about 30 years before we even considered taking it to the next level. I was a rocker from late 60's and after my return to the world in the mid-70's. I liked rock music and Lora was more of a boot scooting boogie kind of line-dancing-people-person who knew everyone.

She had it rough, but she never let it get her down. She was famous for her saying of, "If I want any shit out of you, I will open up your head and scrape it out." She meant it too. She fit right in with where I worked and she had more balls than any guy I worked with, she called them "chesticles" and they were of decent size.
I miss her. No shit no sugar. Yep, she was famous for that one, too.
There was a band that I liked, A Flock of Seagulls, that was popular when Lora and I were working together and she even liked a few of their songs. When we finally did the deed, a whole new world opened up for both of us and we redefined our friendship. Enemas were a way that we broke the ice and because enemas are what they are, it involved a lot of naked. We loved being naked with each other and she loved to touch and be touched. So did I.
I am going to post this over on the place where I started a book for her and how I felt. When I started it, I wasn't able to put any pictures up there, but now it looks like I can.

Time has not stopped me from missing her. No. Time has, though, allowed me to get used to her not being here. I am able to think of her and the times we shared and not have that melancholy darken that memory and I even manage a smile. It isn't a zen thing or meditation that has brought me to this point. It is time.
I loved you @Lora_C. ❤️
