Nurse Joanna was talking to Doctor Michael's when Callie arrived at the health suite, blushing furiously, an hour earlier than her previously scheduled appointment. They smiled warmly when they saw her but Callie was cringing horrifically with the humiliation of needing to explain what had happened. She stared at the floor.

"I really need to see someone I think" Keiran took her through to the treatment room where Callie unloaded the whole sorry story, eliciting only a few raised eyebrows from the doctor.

"Hop up onto the couch and pop your legs into the stirrups please. I'll have a little look for you" He pulled on some latex gloves whilst Callie positioned herself, legs raised and open in front of him.

"Ok Callie. I'm going to slip my fingers into your vagina. You're going to feel some pushing, I'm hoping to feel the thermometer through the membrane that separates your vagina from your rectum. Just relax for me, I'll be as gentle as possible ok"

Just then, Nurse Joanna knocked softly and put her head around the door.

"I have the ultrasound machine ready for you Doctor"

"Thank you, can you bring it through for me and set it up?"

"Of course, no problem."

"I'm going to start opening you up a little now Callie. Just relax and breathe. You can raise your hand or say stop if you need a breather and we will take a break ok?"

Callie nodded. She couldn't see what the doctor was doing between her legs but the speculum began to stretch her tender hole uncomfortably and started to hurt. Almost immediately Callie whimpered, raised her hand and pleaded with Keiran to stop.

Keiran released the blades a little and even though it was still uncomfortable, Callie was able to relax a little.

"Good girl, you're doing brilliantly. I'm going to put the ultrasound wand into your vagina now and we should be able to get that thermometer out in no time. It's going to feel tight but just relax."

The doctor glided the ultrasound wand into Callie's vagina and Callie had never felt so full. Keiran moved the transducer slowly, angling it in such a way it increased the stretch even more so. Immediately, she could see the image of the thermometer on the screen so, as uncomfortable as the examination was, it also brought relief, the thermometer could at least be seen now.

"Ok Callie, I really need to get this speculum open a little more. I need to get some forceps inside you and then I can get a grip of that wayward thermometer. Relax and blow through the discomfort. It's only going to hurt for a short while, I'm going to try to be quick."

Callie nodded, concentrating hard on trying to relax as the stretch on her back passage became unbearably intense prompting her to moan and whimper loudly.

Keiran carefully introduced the forceps into the aperture created by the speculum and Callie was able to watch as the instrument came into view on the ultrasound screen. Keiran gripped the thermometer and pulled it free from her body before placing it into a kidney dish. Swiftly, the speculum was also closed and then removed.

"Well you'll be pleased to know that's out now. Now, Callie, I didn't want to say before as you already had enough to worry about. But you are actually pretty compacted back there. I'd like to give you a series of enemas if you're ok with that."

Callie froze inside. Enemas??? But the words of Hannah immediately floated into her mind....

"Ok. If you think I need them"

Surely the enemas couldn't be as bad as what she had just gone through.
