Cheer squad physical exams
Part 1 - the pickup
Keeley Elphick was sat with her fellow cheer squad members in the cafe at the University halls of residence. The six girls - Keeley, Beatrice, Tessa, Emma, Christina and Fiona - were members of the Cheerleading team's stunt squad whose stringent standards required each member to certify their fitness via a thorough private medical exam certificate at their own expense. Unfortunately not everyone in the University was able to afford the exams, a matter which had come to the attention of a notable alumni of the medical faculty at the University, Dr. William Schiffman, who had proposed the Expanding Participation scheme to an enthusiastic University management team - Dr. Schiffman would incorporate the examinations into the syllabus on the medical courses, with the examinations carried out in lecture theatres watched by the students, some of whom would also take turns in participating in the exams.
