[True Story] The internship of a young medical student.

1. Preparation of the office.

Our first scenario was a simple routine examination. I informed Polina that she would soon accompany me to examine Valeria, and by then we had to prepare the office.

We used the corridor as a waiting room. There were already two stools and a clothes rack in it, so there wasn't much to do. In the living room, we arranged a "general office":

- a desk at which a nurse sat and kept all the necessary documents,

- chair,

- a table covered with a sheet where most of the exams will take place,

- Libra,

- measuring tape glued to the wall

- eyesight test board

- a glass cabinet with most of our medical instruments (Valeria brought some "special" ones as a surprise for Polina) (two stethoscopes, two blood pressure monitors, a thermometer, latex gloves, masks, a measuring cup, bandages, plasters, a reflex hammer, small flashlights ).

In my room there was a changing room/treatment room: there was only a bed with a mattress placed in the middle and covered with transparent foil. We placed a standing lamp next to it (of course, I ignore the wardrobe because it would be difficult to move it somewhere).

When we finished, I gave Polina my white shirt to wear, and I put on my smock and hung the stethoscope around my neck. There were documents on the desk regarding Valeria's health, and in them we recorded two additional exams that our patient had no idea about. 😉

I asked my assistant to call the patient to the office.

Even though the day before, all three of us spent time together eating, walking, etc. I noticed Polina's slight indecision when she went to pick up Valerie...
