Consider a patient, exposed and vulnerable on the exam table, with ... inappropriate thoughts running through their minds, triggering their reactions and heightening their senses. How much more might that vulnerability and embarrassment be heightened if the doctor knew all about it?

I’ve always enjoyed getting my patients to be involuntarily aroused or otherwise reactive during our little visits. But haven’t really, truly explored the joy of saying it to their faces? No, not just saying it - having them say it. Explain it. Admit to it.
