This is a story I’ve been pondering writing for awhile. It’s based on a kernel of truth. I knew someone who enrolled in grad school as an older adult, but they didn’t have her childhood shot records, and the university required them. Her old pediatrician had long since retired and they had no records from decades ago- she wound up having to get a couple of shots. This story takes it a bit farther and is a bit fantastical and I added some spice. I tried to use AI but then had to heavily edit to remove the AI-ish language. Enjoy.
